CE Testing and certification

According to European directives

Most of the Energy using Products have to comply with one or more of the following European Directives:

• Gas Appliance Directive (GAD)
• Low Voltage Directive (LVD)
• Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (EMC-D)
• Construction Products Directive
• Machinery Directive (MD)
• Pressure Equipment Directive (PED)
• Explosion Directives (ATEX).

Depending on the technology (e.g. used pressure) and application (e.g. industrial or domestic) the above mentioned directives are appliacable.

Only when all directives that apply to a certain product or system are met, the manufacturer is allowed (and obliged) to have its products CE marked.
